Who we are

What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the consultation form or the quick quote form, we receive the name, email address, phone number and any project details you type in. When you book through our online scheduler, you provide your name, email and chosen appointment time. When you call or text, we have your phone number. We ask for a project address only when you want us to visit and measure.

Information collected automatically. Standard web analytics: pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device and browser type, how you arrived at the site, and whether you clicked to call, text, email or book. We do not collect payment details on this website.

The instant price tool. When you use the instant price tool we record the question you typed, the answer it gave, the selection you made, your city and postal area, your internet provider, and a partial IP address with the last part removed. We keep that record for 90 days so we can review the answers the tool gives and stop automated abuse of it. We do not store full IP addresses.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, prepare a quote, schedule a consultation, and keep a record of the work we have discussed. We also use aggregate analytics to understand which pages are useful and whether our advertising is working. That is the whole list.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses a small number of third-party tools. Each sets its own cookies:

• Google Analytics 4 - anonymous usage statistics: which pages get read, how people move through the site.
• Google Ads - measures whether an ad led to a call or a form submission, and supports remarketing. If you arrive from a Google ad, the phone number displayed may be swapped for a Google forwarding number so the call can be attributed. Calls to that number reach us exactly as normal.
• Meta Pixel - measures whether a Facebook or Instagram ad led to an enquiry.
• Calendly - runs the appointment scheduler on our contact page. It loads only when you scroll to it or ask for it.
• Cloudflare - serves and secures the site.
• FormSubmit - delivers our contact form submissions to our inbox.

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles about you beyond the remarketing described above, and we do not run any advertising outside the United States.

Visitors in the EU, the UK and Switzerland

We advertise and operate only in South Florida. Rather than ask every visitor to dismiss a cookie banner, we have configured Google Consent Mode so that analytics and advertising storage are denied by default for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Google resolves that region from the request.

We want to be precise about what that does and does not mean. Denied storage means no analytics or advertising cookies are written and no advertising identifiers are used. The Google tag still loads and can still send cookieless pings carrying the consent state and basic page information, which Google may use for aggregated, modelled measurement. So storage is switched off, but measurement is reduced rather than completely absent.

The Meta Pixel is a separate case. It is not loaded when your browser reports a European time zone. A time zone is a setting on your device, not verified geography, so this is a practical filter rather than a guarantee: a European visitor whose device is set to another time zone may still load the pixel, and a visitor outside Europe whose device is set to a European time zone will not.

If you would prefer no measurement at all, the opt-out options below apply to you the same as to any other visitor.

• Any browser will let you block or delete cookies for this site. Doing so will not stop you using it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We share it only with the service providers listed above, who process it on our behalf, and with our installer when a job is scheduled at your address. We disclose information to anyone else only if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and quotes are kept for as long as we are in contact plus a reasonable period afterwards, so that we can honour pricing and answer questions about work we did. Analytics data is retained on Google's standard schedule. Ask us and we will delete your enquiry.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@exoticshades.com or call 954-881-9331 and we will handle it ourselves - there is no ticketing system to get lost in.

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging work on their homes. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
