Budgetary planning figures, before tax, generated by the same engine that produces our quotes. Essential and Somfy WireFree are rechargeable-battery motors with their remote - no wiring, no power panel. The wired Somfy column is the Sonesse 50 24V system with its low-voltage power panel, and the Lutron figure is the wired system with its panel. Openings wider than 144" are priced as two coupled shades, which is standard practice. Exact pricing follows the free in-home measure.
One motorized roller shade, fabric and motor included
The same engine, one shade at a time. The wired Somfy and Lutron figures include the power panel that serves up to five motors, so their per-shade cost falls as the count rises: see the eight-shade example above.

Five things move the number
1. Size brackets
Shade hardware prices by width and drop brackets, not by the inch. A 71" window and a 72" window price the same; an 84" window steps up a bracket. This is why we price per opening from real measurements rather than per square foot.
2. Fabric
A performance solar screen such as Mermet E Screen, a light-filtering weave, or a full blackout each carries its own cost, and dual shades (solar plus blackout on one window) carry two. We fabricate in-house, so designer fabrics do not pass through a middleman markup.
3. Motor brand
Essential is our value tier on Dooya rechargeable motors; Somfy Sonesse 30 WireFree is the quiet, proven rechargeable motor most projects plan around; wired Somfy adds a power panel. Lutron adds the control architecture that HomeWorks, RA3 and integrator-driven homes are built on. Crestron and Control4 projects are quoted per specification.
4. Power
Essential and Somfy WireFree are rechargeable motors: no wiring, no power panel, ideal for finished condos. Wired low-voltage systems with a power panel (Somfy Sonesse 50, Lutron) never need charging and suit larger projects and new construction - the panel is a line item those figures include.
5. Details
Recessed pockets that hide everything but the fabric, coupled shades across 14-foot sliders, drapery layered over solar shades: the details that make the room are quoted openly, per opening. See our recessed and concealed treatments.
Why our numbers hold
We measure, sew, motorize and install with our own team - five in-house seamstresses, certified motorization installers, no subcontractors. One free hour with our team routinely saves owners thousands in avoidable mistakes, and the quote you sign is the number you pay.
Frequently asked
How much do motorized shades cost in South Florida?
As a planning figure from our own quote engine: a single standard window (72 by 84 inches) runs about 793 dollars on a Somfy WireFree rechargeable motor, about 733 dollars on our Essential tier, about 1,910 dollars on a wired Somfy system with its power panel, or about 3,141 dollars on Lutron, complete with fabric and motor as configured. A wall of three large openings lands around 3,040 dollars on Somfy WireFree; a main floor of eight comes in around 7,167 dollars. Every figure is budgetary and before tax; your exact windows go through the calculator or a consultation.
Why is Lutron more expensive than Somfy?
Lutron hardware carries the premium of its control ecosystem: whisper-quiet motors, the Palladiom and Sivoia lines, and native integration with HomeWorks and RA3 systems. In our engine the same project prices at roughly 1.6 times the wired Somfy figure, and well above the rechargeable WireFree and Essential tiers. Somfy delivers superb quiet motorization at the lower figure; Lutron buys the system architects and integrators specify. We are certified on both and quote both side by side.
What makes the price go up or down?
Five things move the number more than anything else: the size bracket of each opening, the fabric you choose, the motor brand, how the shades get power (rechargeable battery, plugged, or a wired low-voltage panel), and details like recessed pockets or coupled shades on openings wider than 144 inches. A consultation pins each of these down per window.
Do the figures include installation?
The calculator figures are complete budgetary numbers for the configuration shown: fabric, motorization and control as listed, before tax. Measurement, fabrication, installation and programming are all done by our own team, never subcontracted, and your written quote itemizes everything so there are no surprises on site.
How much are motorized drapery tracks and sheers?
A 12-foot motorized drapery track with a rechargeable motor, remote and professional installation prices at about 1,452 dollars on our track calculator; the same track with a smart-hub motor, ceiling mount and lined drapery sewn in our workroom is about 2,833 dollars. Custom sheers price at 85 dollars per linear foot of width in a house and 95 dollars in a condo unit, because a condo installation takes additional time and effort.
Is a written quote free?
Yes. The in-home design consultation and the written quote cost nothing. Bring a floor plan or window list and we can send a budgetary number for a whole home or a whole building before you ever book a visit.
