Each guide is written from the building's own glazing and orientation - not a template. If your tower is not listed, we can still quote it from your floor plan.
Four things that change the spec
Ceiling height and pocket depth
A 9-foot ceiling rarely leaves room for a recessed dual-roller pocket without losing head height; a 10- or 12-foot ceiling usually does. This single dimension decides whether shades disappear into the slab or hang on a fascia.
Orientation and solar load
East-facing oceanfront glass takes hard low-angle sun for three hours a morning and wants a tighter 1-3% openness. West-facing glass over a lagoon or the Intracoastal takes late glare off the water. North glass can often run 5% and keep the view.
Terrace depth and self-shading
A 14-foot terrace shades its own glass for much of the day. A shallow juliet balcony does not. Deep overhangs let you open up the weave and keep the view; unshaded glass does not forgive it.
Association rules
Most South Florida towers specify a uniform white or off-white backing so the facade reads consistently from the street. That constrains the outward-facing layer, not the room-facing one - which is exactly why dual-roller and shade-plus-drapery layering is so common here.
