The plain fiberglass basketweave, at 5% and 10%
SheerWeave 2000 and 2100 are the same vinyl-coated fiberglass basketweave in two openness factors: Style 2000 at 5% and Style 2100 at 10%. The composition is 37% fiberglass and 63% vinyl on fiberglass, the weave is 0.021 inches thick, and Phifer publishes UV blockage of about 95% for the 5% and about 90% for the 10%. Style 2000 comes 63, 98 and 126 inches wide; Style 2100 stops at 98. Ten colours run across both, from White and Bone through Platinum and Bronze to the three Charcoals.
This is a screen for keeping the view rather than killing the glare. Visible transmission runs from 6% in Charcoal, Charcoal/Chestnut and Bronze up to 16% in plain White, and solar reflectance from 4% in Charcoal to 67% in White, so the choice of colour changes the fabric's behaviour more than the choice of style does. Phifer lists a Microban antimicrobial additive, GREENGUARD Gold certification, RoHS and REACH compliance, and a full fire set: California Title 19, NFPA 701 TM#1 and TM#2, NFPA 101 Class A, IBC Section 803.1.1 Class A, BS 5867 Part 2 Type B and CAN/ULC-S 109.
What SheerWeave 2000/2100 does on your glass, and what it does not
Best use
Style 2000 at 5% is the one to specify on shaded glass, north and east elevations, a courtyard window or a lanai under a deep overhang. Style 2100 at 10% belongs on a stair landing or a garden room where daylight is the point. Phifer lists both for Roman shades and panel tracks, so a wide opening can be a panel track rather than one long roller.
Privacy
Daytime only, and not much of it at 5% and 10%. Someone close to the glass in daylight will read shapes through it, most easily in Charcoal, which sees out best and hides least. White and Bone cover more by day and see out less. After dark, with the lamps on, the balance reverses and the room is visible from the street. For night privacy, run a blackout layer behind on a dual roller.
Glare control
Neither weave is a glare fabric. At these openness factors the sun still reaches a monitor, and a low sun in line with the window still shows as a disc through the weave. If a screen faces the glass, Charcoal or Bronze at 5% is the only sensible pick here. Where glare is the actual complaint, step to a 1% or 3% weave instead.
Limitations
It will not darken a room, and at 10% openness it lets more heat and UV through than the tighter weaves: Phifer publishes about 90% UV blockage for Style 2100 against about 95% for Style 2000. Style 2100 also stops at a narrower roll, so a wide slider becomes two shades. For a bedroom, put a blackout shade at the glass instead.

Where SheerWeave 2000/2100 works here
At 5% and 10% these are north-elevation and shaded-glass fabrics for us, or a covered terrace where the sun never lands square on the window. On an east or west wall in Fort Lauderdale we would go to the 2500 family instead and take 1% or 3% in the same colour language. Where the room is bright and the point is to soften it without losing the water, White/Bone at 5% is the one we show.

Is Style 2000 or 2100 the more open fabric?
Style 2100 is 10% open, Style 2000 is 5%. The 10% keeps more view and more daylight and stops less heat; the 5% is the more useful of the two on real South Florida glass. If you need tighter than that, the 2500 family gives 1% and 3% in a similar fiberglass weave.
How wide can one shade be?
126 inches in Style 2000, which covers most sliders in one piece, and 98 inches in Style 2100. Beyond that an opening takes two shades on one headrail with the joint set at a mullion.
How wide can a Phifer SheerWeave 2000/2100 shade be?
Phifer publishes standard roll widths of 63", 98" and 126" (160 cm, 248.9 cm and 320 cm); 63" and 98" (160 cm and 248.9 cm) for SheerWeave 2000/2100, so a single shade can run to about 126 inches wide before a seam or a second shade is needed. Wider openings are covered with two shades on one headrail programmed to move together, or with a seam placed where the mullion hides it. We confirm the exact limit for the chosen system when we measure.

SheerWeave 2000/2100 is made up as roller shades, roman shades and panel tracks. We source it directly from Phifer, so the same weave goes on Lutron, Somfy, Crestron or Vertilux motors or a manual chain, cut and finished in our Fort Lauderdale workroom and installed by our own team from Miami to Palm Beach.
