Surf House is deliberately designed against the Miami glass-tower norm - an eleven-storey, seventeen-residence oceanfront building whose elevation is a rhythm of softly curved alabaster arches, terrazzo and palm-shaped columns, with balcony railings of opacified frit glass that read as part of the facade. The windows sit inside an architectural frame rather than forming a curtain wall.
