Textured, wood-toned screens at 5%, 7% and 10%
Jacquard is the textured member of the screen family: a polyester-core vinyl weave with a raised pattern, in five colourways named for what they resemble (Bamboo/Wheat, Bamboo/Birch, Bark/Tiger Oak, Tweed/Oatmeal, Tweed/Buckeye), at 5%, 7% and 10% openness depending on the colour, 96 inches wide. It is thicker than a flat screen (up to 0.045 inches) and has a noticeable surface, so it behaves like a woven shade with the light control of a screen.
Fire listings are NFPA 701, CA Title 19 and ASTM E84; certifications GREENGUARD and RoHS. It is seamable but not railroadable.
What Jacquard does on your glass, and what it does not
Best use
The openness arrives with the colour here, so the pattern you like decides how much sun you get. Bark/Tiger Oak and the two Tweeds are the 5% weaves and the ones for glass the sun actually reaches. Bamboo/Wheat is 7% and Bamboo/Birch 10%, which belong on a shaded lanai or a north window. Rollers only, so no skylight can carry the texture.
Privacy
A textured weave does not hide more than a flat one. Bamboo/Birch passes 18% of the visible light, so in daylight a person close to the glass reads shapes and movement, and the pattern only softens that. Tweed/Buckeye at 9% covers considerably more. After dark, with a lamp on, all five show the room, so a bedroom or a ground-floor window needs a blackout layer behind.
Glare control
Modest. With visible transmission from 9% to 18% this is a view fabric rather than a glare fabric, and a television opposite the window will still show a reflection at midday. Tweed/Buckeye at 9% is the best of the five for a room with a screen in it. On a west wall a tighter flat weave does the work, and the texture belongs on the shaded windows.
Limitations
It is thick, up to 0.045 inches, so a tall shade rolls up fatter than a flat screen and a shallow pocket may not swallow it. Five colourways and nothing below 5% openness means it cannot be tuned to an exposure the way Basketweave 90 can. It darkens nothing, hides nothing at night, and Lutron publishes no acoustic figure for it.

Where Jacquard works here
Jacquard is the answer when a client likes the look of woven wood but wants to see the water through it and needs it to survive a humid lanai. Bamboo/Wheat and Tweed/Oatmeal on a covered terrace or in a Key West style interior give the texture without the maintenance of natural grass.

Is Jacquard the same as a woven wood shade?
No, and that is the point. It is a solar screen with a woven texture printed into the weave, so it keeps a view, resists humidity and can be motorized on any Lutron roller system. See our woven wood shades if you want the natural material itself.
How wide can a Lutron Jacquard shade be?
Lutron publishes a maximum usable fabric width of 96 inches for Jacquard. It can be seamed for wider openings, or two shades share one headrail and move together. We confirm the exact limit for the chosen system when we measure.
