A PVC-free screen made from 100% recycled content
Basketweave Eco2 is Lutron's PVC-free basketweave: 100% recycled-content TPO (thermoplastic olefin), nine colours (Cotton, Almond, Wheat, Stone, Barley, Nickel, Midnight, Bark, Slate) in 1%, 3% and 5%, 96 inches wide. It is listed to NFPA 701, NFPA 101 and CAN/ULC-S109 and carries GREENGUARD, RoHS and lead-free certifications, with visible light transmission from 2% to 22% across the card.
Two fabrication notes: Eco2 is not seamable and not railroadable, so a single shade tops out at the 96-inch fabric width. For a wider slider we split into two shades on one headrail, which on a Lutron system still moves as one.
What Basketweave Eco2 does on your glass, and what it does not
Best use
Standard windows and single doors, since the cloth cannot be seamed. Slate, Bark or Midnight at 1% suits a study or a media room, Wheat, Stone or Nickel at 3% is the general living-room choice, and Cotton at 5% belongs on shaded glass. Lutron rates the fabric for moist conditions, so a bathroom window or a covered lanai door is fair ground for it.
Privacy
Cotton at 5% passes 22% of the visible light, the most open thing on the card, and gives a facing window very little to stop it. Midnight at 1% passes 2% and reflects 6%: a dark clear view out and a room that is hard to read in daylight from more than a few feet. Either way a lit room at night is visible outside, so pair it with a blackout on a dual roller.
Glare control
Visible transmission spans 2% to 22% across the card, a wide spread for three openness factors, and it is mostly the colour doing it. Midnight, Slate and Bark at 1% or 3% keep a monitor readable with sun on the glass. Cotton, Almond and Barley pass enough light to leave a television reflecting at midday. The low afternoon sun burns through every one of them.
Limitations
It is a screen: no darkening, and no cover once your lights are on. There is no tensioned version, so a skylight or a sloped window has to come from another card. The pale warm neutrals can read milky against a hard bright view, where Nickel or Slate holds the horizon. Lutron prices it a band above the fiberglass screens, which is what the recycled content costs.

Not as one shade; the fabric is 96 inches wide and cannot be seamed or railroaded. We make two shades on a shared headrail and program them to move together, with the light gap set at the mullion.
